So there we were Square Taters, then we went passed the bogs down Yate's when I heard; "Hippy doodie Stringo Vesto,
Hello officer, you've come to Meoresto? Or Molsto?" "Ahh.." I thought "Happy Chrispo" x

Why not cover some classic UK Garage/Folk/Punk? Like Zero Zone's massive 1980 hit 'Heavy Breather'? I think it would suit you very well and such music deserves to find a whole new audience.. The band were genious and wrote lyrics that really touched the soul like; "You can see him walking down the road, wearing his mac (tho it's not cold), he steps into his local box, shuffling in his size 9 docs, he dials and waits for her to ansa, I guess he's just a shy romancer.. Cos he's a heavy breather, a call-cox teaser, a dirty old geezer, and he'll never leave her.. alone." Poetry like this makes me want to cry..

First, please do a show in Chicago. Second, how about covering "Spoon River" by Michael Smith (and covered by Steve Goodman)? Also "Run" by George Strait? Third, love your "Horse to Water."

Ok, so I woke up this morning to find the new CD "A Totally Different Disaster" laying out in all its glory on the kitchen counter, I anxiously grabbed it, opened it, and listened to it...and it is definately a glorious thing...Great job, Fisheye! I love it.

Why oh why can't I buy the CD in Woolworths? I asked a spotty young man called Kevin who said I should try the Seafood counter at Tesco's in Bulwell and then called Security to have me removed.. Not very Rock and Roll.. Anyway are you appearing at Glastonbury next year? If 'Glen Tilbrook and the Fluffers' and 'Maybe you boys been to Pub or Club' can get a spot then I dont see why The Mighty Eye (as I have started to call you) can't. Keep strumming, keep humming and keep the good times coming.. With love. Theo V xx

Brian, I'm Grace's Dad (Girl Scouts) and thanks for the listen. Matawan was my favorite song on the CD, but I'm sure that'll changes as I listen more. For context, my favorites right now are Wilco, Son Volt, Ryan Adams and Death Cab and all time favorites also include Little Feat and Neil Young--generally a little louder than Fisheye. I thought in addition to the Jayhawks, your sound reminded me of the string of male 'folkies' (Jack Johnson, James Blunt, John Mayer and long ago James Taylor) but also Elliott Smith (but more upbeat), Belle and Sebastian (without the horns), Ben Folds, Calexico and CSNY (although no one under 50 will remember). I look forward to seeing you guys sometime over the next couple of months (and I'm spreading the word with some of my music friends at Coke). --Alan

Can't make the JavaMonkey gig. Dang it. How about a shot of the CD cover? Still work in progress I guess. Was designed with a t shirt in mind, by the way.....
Hey, and no comment on my CD? Somehow I am taking silence as- if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all....
